Jodha Akbar: Rajat Tokas's New Friends On The Sets [Latest Gossip]

Round-the-clock shoot schedules and long commutes can take a toll on the actors of ZEE TV's historical magnum opus Jodha Akbar, as they travel all the way to Karjat every day. But what keeps them going is the bond that they share with other members of the cast and crew, rather the fun that they have with the new family they end up making on the sets. Last we heard was how the Moghul queens found a unique way to connect with each other through their 'chugal mughal' watsapp group and now look who has found new friends on the sets. It turns out there is a whole new group of child actors on the sets of Jodha Akbar and actor Rajat Tokas who plays Akbar is an instant hit with the young ones!

With the show taking a minor leap, the storyline currently focuses on Akbar and Jodha's little one - Salim, his cousins and friends, a bunch of feisty kids who have a lot of fun on the sets while shooting. Rajat who plays the father of Salim, seems to have taken his on screen character too seriously and is seen taking care of all the kids - playing with them during breaks, rehearsing with them and enjoying a meal together has become his routine. Ask him about the reason behind him wanting to spend some extra time on the sets these days and pat comes his reply, "These kids bring along a lot of energy on the sets. Every morning I look forward to the shoot because these kids crack up at the slightest of things and help us relieve our stress in the whole process."

As most of the kids were facing the camera for the first time, Rajat also ensured that each of them was comfortable and felt at home before they went in for their take. From indulging in a game of hide-and-seek to sharing his lunch with them, Rajat ensures that these kids get timely breaks and do not end up exhausting themselves on the shoot.

We hope their camaraderie reflects on screen too and the audiences continue to shower their love on each of them.
