About the show

Set amidst the color and custom of the ancient city of Benares, Ishq Ka Rang Safed is the tale of the impossible love of Viplav for Dhaani. The carefree, spoilt grandson of Mahant Dashrath Tripathi, Viplav is slated to go abroad for his law studies & intends to never return to the religiosity, traditionalism & ritualism of Benares and his family. Life takes an abrupt turn as Viplav encounters Dhaani – a lady in white. An innocent prank played in retribution of a bruised ego draws Viplav into an unseen world and the realization of the harsh realities of life. A reality epitomized by Dhaani. A young widow leading a life of quiet dignity abiding by her Dharma in a society that condemns women to living death even in the 21st Century. Swathed in white & devout to her cause, Dhaani is a conformist yet no weak willow as evident by her determined stance & sense of pride held against Viplav from the time she saw him as a “rakshas” till his profession of love towards her. Will Dhaani give herself a second chance at happiness? What happens as the grandson of The upholder of tradition & morality steps across the Line? Casting

• Mishal Raheja essays the role of Viplav, Dashrath Tripathi's youngest grandson on the show. He is all set to leave the city of Benaras to go abroad to study law when he comes across Dhaani and falls in love with her. A spoilt brat, Viplav doesn't hesitate to speak his mind out.  
• Eisha Singh plays the role of the protagonist Dhaani on the show. After accidently killing her husband, Dhaani along with her mother stay in an ashram for widows in Benaras. Burdened by the guilt, Dhaani becomes very hard on herself. She is very loyal and easy going, and rarely speaks out what's on her mind. A total opposite of Viplav
• Mahant Dashrath Tripathi played by Arun Bakshi essays the role of Viplav's grandfather in the show-Ishq ka rang safed. Traditional and orthodox by nature, he opposes to Viplav and Dhaani's relationship.

First Day,First Show Spoiler

Viplav and his friends notice a young widow by the ghats of Varanasi doing her morning pooja. When Viplav approaches her, he is rebuked for his behaviour towards a widow.
