19 years ago Bollywood was introduced to the love saga of Raj and Simran in DDLJ. They not only inspired the lovers’ of all generations but the movie left romantics like us always hoping to meet our Raj or Simran in life. After a stupendous run of 1000 weeks and still running strong in theatres, Kapil Sharma brings on board the cast of DDLJ including Shahrukh Khan, Kajol, Farida Jalal, Mandira Bedi, Anupam Kher and Puja Ruparel for a special tribute to the movie on Comedy Nights with Kapil.
Now if the epic cast has come together we can’t help but expect all the historic moments to be recreated. Moments that make us fall in love with movie and cast all the more! Here are 5 things we’re just praying happens with this cast in CNWK!
1.Bada desh, choti baatein and all that: Yes, you may have already guessed which dialogue we’re trying to hint here. (Another hint: Senorita. Get it?!) It would be impossible to have SRK and Kajol together and not hear that how “bade bade deshon mein aisi choti choti baatein hoti rehti hain.” No one says it better than SRK!
2.If he loves us he will say ‘Palat’: When Raj said ‘Palat’ for Simran in the movie the audiences were praying hard for her to turn. Now that’s the power of Raj and Simran’s magic! Imagine seeing the same moment happening again on the show. Maybe add Gutthi to the equation? Uff, too much to handle!
3.10 ways to feed a pigeon by saying ‘Aao’: Now we can only think of Dadi doing this ‘Aao’ scene with SRK but we fear she might not be looking to feed the pigeons but her own ‘pappi’ desires with SRK! #LuckyDadi #JealousMuch
4.Learn the art of catching a train by Kajol: This particular scene wherein Simran runs to catch the train and Raj pulls her has been copied in countless movies. But does it match the original? Na-uh! Leave the train-chasing art to the experts and maybe SRK and Kajol can recreate the scene to show how it is really done. Watch and learn!
5.Jaa Simran…enough said: This dialogue has really taken on being ‘the phrase of encouragement’. And while yes it has helped us resonate our feelings perfectly to each other let’s not forget it was occurred by the iconic Amrish Puri. And maybe like a tribute to him Kapil can do a decent take on it and say the golden words “Jaa Simran Jaa...jeele apni zindagi.”
We will also say ‘jaa fans jaa..jeele apni zindagi’ and do not forget to tune into this magnum-opus episode with the cast of DDLJ on Comedy Nights with Kapil only on Colors!
